Our project, "Stochastic Modeling of Lithium-ion Battery Aging for Predictive Maintenance and Advanced Health Management", was selected by the University of Kentucky Energy Research Prioritization Partnership (ERPP) for seed grant support. The ERPP’s mission is to enhance the energy research strengths of the university through further development of a diverse cohort of faculty and staff working within the energy space.

This seed project aims to develop predictive maintenance and advanced health management of Li-ion batteries through concurrently analyzing aging mechanisms and anticipating failure modes. This project will advance the understandings of battery aging mechanisms by creating a dynamic performance assessment platform with high fidelity that facilitates a synergistic integration of physics-based modeling and data-driven prognostics.
